Yoga & Healing Retreat in Scotland

To go on a Yoga and Healing Retreat can be a great opportunity to recharge your batteries and bring yourself back into alignment. In September we are hosting a Yoga and Healing Retreat in a very special place in Scotland and we are inviting you to join us.

Open to all those who are looking for a spiritual retreat to nourish and heal themselves in a beautiful setting.  Nestled in the beautiful Scottish Hills only 15 miles from Lockerbie, it is an oasis for relaxation, contemplation and retreat.

Relax and Connect to your body, mind and spirit

Samye Ling is a monastery and international centre of Buddhist training, known for the authenticity of its teachings and tradition. It offers instruction in Buddhist philosophy and meditation within the Karma Kagyu lineage of Tibetan Buddhism. It is also a centre for the preservation of Tibetan religion, culture, medicine, art, architecture and handicrafts.

Founded in 1967 by two spiritual masters, Dr. Akong Tulku Rinpoche and Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche, Samye Ling was the first Tibetan Buddhist Centre to be established in the West and was named after Samye, the very first monastery to be established in Tibet. 

 

Room Facilities

We will be staying at the Purelands Retreat Centre that is only 5min walk away from Samye Ling Buddhist Temple. 

You will have a full single room to yourself with views over the Scottish hills.

This allows you to retreat in your own space and have time to yourself if you need to. 

Showers and toilets are shared facilities.  

Food & Nourishment

During the Retreat we have full board, which means your stay includes breakfast, lunch and dinner. All meals will be taken together at the same time each day.

Only vegetarian, locally produced food will be served. During the day you will also have tea and biscuits available as well as Lactose Free Milk and Alternative Milk at the Retreat Centre.

Unfortunately the Temple and its team are not able to cater for special or gluten free diets. 

Daily Schedule

We have a daily schedule planned out for the Retreat Stay and everyone is welcome to join in. However, we do understand and respect that every day is different and you might feel you want to take some time off or to yourself and we happy to accommodate this – please let our team know. 

Daily Tara Meditation at 6am available at the Temple for anyone to join in.

This Meditation is run by one of the Buddhist Monks of the Monastery and can be a very powerful experience. No matter if you have any meditation experience or you are brand new – why not give it ago.

For those, who are not able to get up this early, there will be other mindful sessions and healing circles during the day run by our amazing Team.

Daily Yoga Sessions with Judit

Judit hast been teaching Yoga for many years and is highly qualified.

Her approach to Yoga is very gentle and based on the individuals needs. No matter what your fitness level, your previous Yoga experience or your age – Judit will cater for everyone.

During this Retreat she will be teaching a variety of Yoga Styles and always adapt for anyone joining the classes.

 

Daily Healing Circles & a Guided Walk

Everyday we will have something different planned to get you in touch with Healing Energies and its powers.

Mehal Mahipal is an experienced Shamanic Healer and Meditation Teacher and together with Anamchara Healing they will create an atmosphere that allows you to connect close with the world beyond and your inner healer.

Based on the autumn energy we will dive deep into healing the self and drawing healing energy from the land. 

 

Optional Treatments for your Well-being

We have a range of holistic services available at our Retreat, which can be booked optional to your stay.  

Spiritual Healing Session  with Anamchara Healing 

These individual Healing Sessions are on a 1-2-1 basis in which you will receive powerful spiritual healing energies to balance your body, mind and spirit. Recharge your batteries and drop into a state of deep relaxation.

Pre-booking is essential to secure your place. First come first served basis applies. (45min. each)

Thai Yoga Massage with Judit.

For all those people who would like to benefit from a deeper and nourishing 1-2-1 Session in which your whole body will be gently worked on.

Allowing you to release blockages, stiffness and tightness in your body. No previous experience is necessary and any age, body shape, form and fitness level is welcome. 

Each Session lasts around 6omin and is tailored around your needs.

Pre-booking is essential.

Judit Barrass (Wild River Yoga) is a highly qualified, experienced and passionate yoga teacher.

Her classes are deeply inspiring and nurturing and suitable for anyone who is keen to learn and practice yoga.  Judit also offers Thai Yoga Massages.

Julie Jurgan (Mehal Mahipal) is a Astrologer, Psychic, Shamanic Healer, Meditation Teacher.

Her clients from all over the world value Mehals down to earth and open approach in regards to her work.  

Ross Richards (Anamachara Healing) is a spiritual healer whose healing allows to bring back the balance of body, mind and spirit.

Working closely with the spirit world supports people in many countries with his abilities.
